Simply delightful! (May 2017)

Our Daughter and Son bought us a “Suite” break with dinner to mark my wife’s special birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

From the outside The Feversham Arms looks like a row of old Yorkshire stone cottages but step inside and it reveals a beautiful cleverly designed 21st century high end hotel. The centrepiece is a very nice heated outdoor pool surrounded by gardens and lots of comfy places to relax.

Our suite (room 32) was very nice indeed with a large lounge leading to a spacious bedroom which in turn lead to a big bathroom. It is quite luxurious and perfect for that special occasion. The food was excellent we enjoyed dinner on both nights – chateaubriand was cooked perfectly and carved table-side – fine dining at its best. The breakfast was very nice too.

We would certainly recommend The Feversham the staff were all great. Many thanks to all of you.

Couldn't pick a fault. I tip my hat to everyone involved in this Hotel. (May 2017)

I'll keep it brief but the room was ridiculously cozy. We went there in late February so I'm a bit late in writing this review, but as you can see, it had to be done. The welcome was really warm and pleasant, almost to the point that you could feel genuine understanding for our long drive from London. The decor around the property is very tasteful. Pretty much combined tradition and modern styles in a seamless way.

This place was so relaxing. You're made to feel like you're the only ones there (it was me and my girlfriend), which can be intrusive sometimes but everyone seemed to work with such fluidity that you barely noticed them. For example, we would go to breakfast (which was nice by the way) and come back to a freshly cleaned room- wood stocked up for the fire and everything. We were there 3 nights, and I only saw the cleaner twice, and very briefly. They, like the rest of the staff, were like clockwork- working in the background but there when you need them.

I have to say, this has completely changed my outlook on hotels. The big corporate brands are OK, but the Feversham just wiped the floor with them. It offers a service which feels really personal, but at the same time, very spacious and relaxing. A delicate balance which they pulled off to perfection. Thank you.

A two day Spa break in Helmsley at the Feversham Arms.  (May 2017)

On arrival we received a very warm welcome at the reception...completed necessary paperwork....... our car was valet parked and our luggage placed in a secure place until our room was ready . Effortless. Totally chilled from the onset. Our room was spacious , well decorated and very comfortable beds. The treatments at the Verbena Spa were carried out in a very professional manner with Temple Spa products.....with good shower facilities, the outdoor swimming pool is at a constant 30 deg. Odd swimming outside on a cool day!

Breakfast good , generous with a comprehensive choice of food. Hotel located less than a few minutes walk into the centre of the delightful Yorkshire market town of Helmsley. Keen to return - well done Feversham Arms and Verbena Spa!

Fab Spa Break  (May 2017)

Firstly, we couldn't understand why this hotel has bad reviews, I can only imagine some guests expect far more for the money than any hotel can provide. We have nothing but positives.

Stayed on mid week suite break, my wife had booked this over the phone and had asked for a room recommendation, this was well worth it, stayed in Room 31 which is in the new section of the hotel, was very highly appointed, large lounge area, very nice bedroom and bathroom, spotless and great quality. ALso had a large balcony overlooking the church yard.

Spent a few hours in the SPA (no treatments), again this is a great facility for just chilling out round the pool, hot tub and in the sauna and steam rooms. There are plenty of loungers and quiet areas and the outside areas feel quite secluded (for Thursday afternoon it didn't appear busy, maybe a dozen other guests). All staff in and around the SPA very helpful and attentive.

We had dinner in the weathervane restaurant which was a great experience. OK you will be disappointed if you want a lot of food, this restaurant is high quality, high service, we found the all inclusive £48 package 3 course dinner delicious. The service was prompt, courteous and discrete.

Breakfast really good, apart from a few cereals, fruit and yogurt on the buffet, it's all waiter service.

Staff were brilliant, again very helpful. Why would you complain about having your car valet parked??? Thanks we had a great nights stay.
