About the Hotel
People often ask me what kind of hotel The Feversham Arms is – and in a way it’s a difficult question to answer. It’s not a country house hotel – we’re not stuffy or nostalgic, despite the fact that we’ve been welcoming guests here for over a century and a half. Equally, we’re not a designer hotel where looks come before comfort. It’s a comfortable, eclectic, place.
The heart of The Feversham Arms Hotel is its people. You’ll find our staff naturally welcoming and ready to get to know you. They’re the kind of people you won’t mind asking for something extra.
We have a strong following of guests who enjoy a variety of country pursuits, but lots of people just come to relax and escape from reality – some, in fact, never leave the room (don’t ask!). Others make the most of the pool and explore the myriad interesting shops and sights we have to offer in Helmsley or within a short drive. Some even come here to do a bit of work, using our excellent meeting room.
