We have been out and about at lots of local shows and events recently with our news, latest event listings for the coming months and generally promoting the Feversham Arms & Verbena Spa to everyone and encouraging them to visit...

Ryedale Show -Tuesday 27th July

We were lucky enough to share a stand with North Yorkshire Moors & Coast Tourism partnership as they had asked us to assist with some important elements of running thier "smoothie bike" ( the bike powered the blender to make the smoothies), namely they needed the ingredients, and a recipe to incorporate the Welcome to Yorkshire Rhubarb and custard garden theme from the Chelsea flower show. We were delighted to help - our Junior Sous Chef Stuart Powley designed the recipe below which we have publsihed online as so many people were asking for it after their smoothies on the day! We hope you try it and enjoy it for yourself...

We had a great day meeting with local and not so local people who had turned out in record numbers this year. It was great to hear how well thought of the hotel and spa were locally and how many people who visit the area consider the Verbena Spa a must on their to do lists.

Feversham Rhubarb & Custard Smoothie.

Recipe makes aproximately 100mls of smoothie

50g yoghurt

25g rhubarb puree (to make this chop then poach the rhubarb and sweeten with as much sugar as you want to taste)

12g strawberries cut small or pureed

12g of whole milk

dash of vanilla to taste

Once the ruhbarb is poached, add the strawberries, yoghurt and milk and blitz in a blender until smooth - it's that easy... (much easier than pedalling as we had to do at the show!!) Let us know how you liked them we'd love your feedback! info@fevershamarmshotel.com

The Great Yorkshire Show, Harrogate, 15th July.

We were delighted to be invited back to take part in the Ladies Lunch organised by Welcome to Yorkshire on Thursday 15th July. We offer the ladies a luxurious mini manicure so they could enjoy their lunchtimes suitably polished and feeling their best. We were joined by Harvey Nichols who sponsored the event and Get Ahead Hats with their new designs. A fabulous lunch was had by all.
