Leave Helmsley on the A170 road to Scarborough, you will pass the Petrol Station on your way out of Helmsley. Please take the 2nd turning on the right, which is sign-posted Harome.

This road will lead you into Harome after approximately two miles and The Star Inn is on the right.

The White Swan, Ampleforth (01439) 788239

Leave Helmsley as though heading towards Thirsk on the A170, take the 1st turning on the left, it will indicate Malton and York.

Then take the 1st right, this road will lead into Ampleforth and you will drop into Ampleforth village, The White Swan is on your left hand side in the middle of the village.

Leave Helmsley as though heading towards Thirsk (A170) approx 1 mile outside of Helmsley, take your first turn on the left (B1257) follow this road for approx 2 miles and turn right onto the B1363.

Follow this road through Gilling; do not turn off this road until the next village, which is Brandsby. Local shops will be to your left, take the next turn right sign will indicate Crayke/Easingwold.

Remain on this road for 2 to 3 miles and you will enter the village of Crayke. The Durham Ox is at the top of the hill on the left.

Leave Helmsley on the A170 Scarborough road. Follow this road to Kirbymoorside and straight on at the roundabout. Take the second turn on your right approx 3 to 4 mile from the roundabout the sign-posted Malton.

Follow this road for approx 3 miles to Marton. The Apple Tree is on the left as you enter the village.
