A Look Back at 2013
What a year 2013 was here at the Feversham Arms Hotel! As a business we’ve really enjoyed welcoming and meeting the variety of guests who have visited both the hotel and the spa to take advantage of our luxurious facilities.
Throughout the year we were also delighted to welcome to the hotel our General Manager, Charles Merchie, who brings with him extensive experience on an international scale, Lisa Batty, returning to the hotel as Spa Manager and new Head Chef, Jason ‘Bruno’ Birkbeck, who has breathed a new life into our menu and restaurant (you may recognise him from the BBC Great British Menu).
At Feversham we’re proud to offer a service that meets every taste and requirement, and this year our bespoke packages have proven more popular than ever, with options to ‘spa by candlelight’, visit the countryside for tailor-made walks or take part in the shoot season. Of course, the summer and family occasions such as Mother’s and Father’s Day proved our most popular periods, with the poolside in particular being very busy, as guests lounged in the sunshine, sipping on cocktails and simply relaxing.
Later in the year some of our most avid Facebook and Twitter followers may have been bemused to witness a murder most foul on the hotel’s grounds as we launched the world’s first online murder mystery game. Users were invited to present characters for inclusion in the story and of course, ultimately, guess the winner, to be in with a chance of winning a prize. It caused quite the stir and we were thrilled with the participation with over 29,000 hits to our website.
And that leads us nicely to Christmas, where we had an extremely full house of revellers and well wishers, as we celebrated the festive season and saw in the new year. Here’s to an even better 2014!
