The first of our autumn literary events, we are delighted to welcome best selling author Mike Pannett to the Feversham Arms as he stops off on his tour promoting his latest release - "Just the Job, Lad".
The latest in the popular series of books by Mike Pannett, ex Policeman, about life and his adventures as a "Bobby on the Beat" in and around Ryedale.
Your chance to buy the book, meet Mike himself, hear about his adventures and get your copy signed on the day.

York Theatre Royal comes to Helmsley! Join us for lunch and enjoy questions and answers with the actors and Director, with exerts for this much loved comedy as it takes to the stage at York Theatre Royal.
An un-missable comedy contemplating the life, loves and losses of the prolific comedy duo Laurel and Hardy.
Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy are stuck in a waiting room somewhere between death and eternity. Before they can pass into the next world they take a look back at their lives and loves and offer a fascinating insight into their off-screen relationships and personal heartaches.
With some of their finest comedy routines, musical numbers, dance and slapstick, the charm and wit of Stan and Ollie are reborn in a warm and affectionate homage to one of the most successful and prolific comedy teams in history.

Charity Lunch and entertainment with Paralympic Hopeful Karen Darke.
Inspirational Karen Darke will be joining us for lunch. With tales of her training for next years Paralympic Games, her inspirational story and more about her book " If you Fall" which will be available to buy on the day. Proceeds from the lunch will go to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Karen is a highly saught after and successful speaker, whose stories inspire all those who hear them. Her story captures the limitless capabilities of the human spirit.
Tickets: £35.00 includes 2 course lunch, talk from Karen & contribution to Yorkshire Air Ambulance charity.

Thursday 1st & Wednesday 7th December
Deck the Halls!
Make and take home your own Christmas door wreath or decoration for your home just in time for Christmas. This event is back on 2 separate dates by popular demand with our floral expert Carl Banks. Places are strictly limited so please book early for your chosen date to avoid disappointment.
Tickets: £65 per person, to include floral demonstration, afternoon tea per person, floral workshop and your wreath or decoration to take home.
Time 1.30pm for prompt start. Please bring your own secateurs!

A lunchtime with Judith Hibbert... Gracie Fields, Joyce Grenfell, Julie Andrews and more...
Judith has worked extensively on stage and screen in TV, musicals, cabaret and pantomime. With her unique sense of humour she pays an affectionate tribute to the greats. Join in with the well known songs as part of this lively afternoon of entertainment.

Yorkshire Philharmonic Choir
Celebrating their 6th visit to the Feversham, the Yorkshire Philharmonic continue to entertain under the direction of Dr Andrew Padmore.
Their broad repertoire ranges from great choral classics to contemporary and newly commissioned works in a diversity of musical genres. Renowned for their consistently high standards we warmly welcome them once again.

York City Gospel Choir
AN inspiring and uplifiting evening, with a range of traditional and contemporary Christmas music in gospel style. This promises and evening of musical entertainment with a difference. Feel free to sing, dance and clap along with the carols you know and love.

Thursday 22nd December
Merlin Consort
The Merlin consort return afain with a contemporary mix of music and song interspersed with festive readings. With renditions of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Sleigh Ride, White Christmas, Winter WOnderland and favourites from Cole Porter and Gershwin. Join in with this modern Christmas Spectacular.
