As we bid a happy farewell to another cold winter, and watch the countryside return to bloom once more, the picturesque sight we are now faced with is a pleasant reminder that spring has returned. The first newborn lambs snuggle against their mothers for warmth, whilst fields and woods across the nation present a silk carpet of vibrant colour as daffodils and snowdrops flourish in their seasonal debut.
With spring comes another important date in our calendars, whereby we give thanks and cherish the love and support of one the most prominent female role models in our lives – our mothers. Mothering Sunday is one of the only days in the year in which our beloved mothers can sit back and relax from their daily duties and get pampered in return.
