Christmas Jumper Day

Some of our favourite things at Christmas time include twinkling fairy lights, delicious mince pies, mulled wine by the fire and of course, novelty Christmas jumpers!

The moment the calendar turns to December, we don our favourite knitted number and decorate the hotel in all the Christmas decorations - we love Christmas!

Christmas is also a time for family to come together and enjoy a delicious, hearty lunch and perhaps open a present or two.

For some families however, there is no reason to celebrate this year as they fight to survive some of the world’s most extreme disasters and conflicts. Save the Children is one of many crucial charities sending support teams to these countries and helping the children and families in need.

This Friday, is Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day, which is one of our favourite days of the year because not only will we help raise money and awareness for this important charity, we get to wear our best festive sweaters all day!

Save the Children helps provide food, shelter and urgent medical care to children across the world. Something as light-hearted and fun as Christmas Jumper Day really helps to ramp up the donations and continue the support for this incredibly important charity.

Right now, Save the Children have support teams responding to the world’s largest humanitarian crisis; the Yemen crisis. The charity also has support teams in Nigeria, Iraq, Nepal and Syria, plus many other countries with disasters in need of their help.

Everyone who joins in on the festive fun will donate at least £2 to take part. Each person who joins in and donates will be helping to make the world a happier, safer place for children who are living through some truly awful situations across the world.

If you’d like to show your support, please text TEAM338 to 70050 to donate £5.
