Enjoy 100 days in Provence without leaving Yorkshire
This summer we at The Feversham Arms Hotel and Verbena Spa will once again take to the terrace to enjoy 100 days in Provence.
It’s been nearly a year since we last enjoyed the tastes of the Mediterranean at our very own outdoor restaurant here in Helmsley, but it proved such a success we are delighted to be doing it again this year.
At last year’s 100 days in Provence in 2014 guests dined in our famous courtyard, which is surrounded by the Verbena Spa and pool. They enjoyed a taste of the Mediterranean with a special menu created for the event. It really was a lovely way to taste something a bit different in a relaxed environment reminiscent of the south of France.
This time around we have a new menu, which promises to whisk guest’s taste buds away for a tour of Provencal cuisine.
The menu will feature a range of mouth-watering dishes, blending intense flavours and simple ingredients. With the area being in southeast France the food is heavily influenced by neighbouring Italy and there is great emphasis on sun-ripened vegetables, seafood, fresh herbs and a liberal helping of olive oil on most dishes.
Just to get your taste buds tingling we’ve revealed a few of the dishes being served; including marinated heritage tomato served with warm, crispy mozzarella and sweet basil, half lobster and ramson aioli, Caesar salad and julienne fries and a Mangalitza burger with radish, carrot and apple slaw and vintage Gouda.
Provence is such a picturesque region and we at the Feversham Arms Hotel and Verbena Spa believe our surroundings also have that feeling of luxury and relaxation. And with last year’s event being such a great success we are sure visitors will embrace this next one as well.
Of course our spa and hotel are open as well for visitors and guests who would like to extend their stay with us for the ultimate day, and possibly, night, of pure relaxation.
