Meet Beth, the Events Co-Ordinator at the Feversham Arms

With the wedding season firmly in full swing, we thought it was only right that this month, we introduce you to our Events Co-Ordintor, Beth.

Beth is the main point of contact when it comes to booking your wedding with us at the Feversham Arms. From the initial show round right through to your special day, Beth will be on hand to make your journey as easy and memorable as possible.

Not only is Beth in charge of the weddings here at Fev, she also organises all our corporate events, private dining groups and parties throughout the year.

We sat down with Beth to find about a bit more about her role at Feversham Arms and hear about the time she met a hunky soap star right here at the hotel!

What is your favourite part of the job?

My favourite part of the job is being able to make people happy. Guests usually come to us for a special occasion, e.g their wedding, an anniversary, or birthday, and I really enjoy being able to make everything as easy and enjoyable for them as possible. When a guest leaves the hotel happy, it gives me a real sense of achievement that I’ve done a good job. We receive some lovely comments on social media and review sites from guests and it makes me so pleased that we’re able to make people’s celebrations so special.

Tell us the funniest/most interesting thing you’ve experienced in your job?

When I had just started we had a famous soap star stay at the hotel. I am a massive fan of the soap and was so excited that they were staying at the hotel. (Sad, I know). I was trying to play it cool as I’d only just started working at the hotel and didn’t want to act weird in front of my new colleagues, but I was the complete opposite. It was definitely the first time my work friends saw the real me!
What attracted you to work at Feversham Arms?

I live locally, and had visited for spa days in the past. I have always really liked the hotel, the diversity of the hospitality industry attracted me to the role, as no two days are ever the same. Everyone was so friendly as soon as I started and I instantly felt right at home.

What makes Feversham Arms unique?

For me, I would say how different it is from anything around Helmsley. Each room is so different from one other which I love. And I think it’s amazing that a relatively small hotel in a little market town has a high-quality restaurant, spa and outdoor pool. That’s what makes the Fev so unique.

Why should people visit Feversham Arms?

It is such a lovely, relaxing, unique hotel, and a perfect base for guests to explore all that Helmsley and the surrounding areas have to offer.
