Meet the Team - Kas Wilson
A month has passed since you met our services manager Maria, so we thought it was about time you met another one of our friendly Feversham Arms’ team.
This week, we’d like to introduce you to Kas Wilson, our Assistant Spa Manager. Kas has been with the hotel since 2010 where she started out as part of the Housekeeping team. In 2013 Kas gained her Level 3 NVQ qualification and has worked in the Verbena Spa ever since.
Kas is the main representative on the therapy team in the Verbena Spa and her daily tasks vary from providing therapy treatments, including our signature facial My Kinda Skin, to front of house duties, welcoming guests and booking them into appointments.
Kas is passionate about ensuring our guests leave the spa feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. Providing excellent customer service is always at the forefront of her mind.
We sat down with Kas to ask her a bit more about her role, including the most interesting person she’s ever massaged…
So Kas, what is your favourite part of the job?
I love seeing the benefits the treatments have on the guests. A lot of our customers come to visit us after a busy day or stressful week and helping them relax is a huge priority for me. I feel so happy when the customer’s mood lifts and the treatment helps them relax. A lot of the guests leave feeling like a new person!
Tell us the funniest/most interesting thing you’ve experienced in your job?
I once gave a former Olympian (my lips are sealed) a massage which was definitely a career highlight for me (although it was hard trying to massage around the gold medal!).
What attracted you to work at the Feversham Arms?
The Feversham Arms has a lovely feel to it as soon as you walk through the door. It felt like the right place for me and somewhere I could really fit in. Since joining in 2010, my skills have developed more than I could ever have imagined and now I’m the Assistant Manager of the hotel’s spa – and I love it.
What makes the Feversham Arms unique?
For me it would have to be the outdoor heated pool. It’s the spa’s unique selling point and whenever I show my guests around I always feel extremely proud to present them with the pool. Sitting out on the Mediterranean style terrace and overlooking the pool makes you feel like you’re on holiday!
Why should people visit the Feversham Arms?
The whole hotel provides a relaxing experience for the perfect getaway whatever the weather!
