Relax, you're in safe hands

A day spent in the Verbena Spa here at the Feversham Arms Hotel is always one of relaxation with a touch of decadence.

We pride ourselves on offering something special in our spa and from the moment guests arrive at the relaxation lounge, with its inviting plump cushioned sofas and views across the south facing terrace garden, they get an idea of what is to come.

Of course the Verbena Spa’s six individual treatment rooms, tandem treatment room, Heat Experience with Aromatherapy Room, Salt Inhalation Chamber, Saunarium, Monsoon Shower, Foot Spas and Ice Fountain as well as our Hot Tub and Heated Pool cannot run itself.

The woman behind the running of the Verbena Spa is Lisa Batty, our Spa Manager.

It’s not her first time at Feversham Arms Hotel and Verbena Spa as Lisa was instrumental in the set up of the spa in 2008.

During her original time at the spa the successful manager built up the budding business featuring in Tatler’s 101 Spa’s in the World, achieved 5 bubbles from the Good Spa Guide and was awarded the best facial in the UK by the Good Spa Guide.

Lisa also played a major role in building the team as well as helping with the financial management of the business, marketing and human resources.

In 2011 she moved to The Cedar Court Grand Hotel and Spa, where she managed the spa and later became revenue manager.

But in 2013 Lisa returned to Verbena Spa and has since increased revenue and constantly exceeded profit expectations.

She’s also helped to hone the spa’s relaxing environment, overseen a revamp of the area and the introduction of a new product line, the beautiful Temple Spa range.

When she’s not ensuring everyone has a relaxing experience while enjoying the Verbena Spa’s luxurious facilities Lisa loves exploring and investigating new cultures.

And she is also a recent newlywed having tied the knot this year and is enjoying the first few months of wedded bliss.
